Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Java Developer for a direct placement with one of our premier financial services clients in Jersey City, NJ . Responsibilities :

  • Write good and well-tested code in Java
  • Write APIs and Standalone Processes that leverage the LoanIQ SDK and Platform
  • Write user/supporter documentation
  • Write Test Cases and User/Supporter Documentation of your code
  • Development environment support (mostly automation using Jenkins CI, Bash, Groovy)
  • Evaluate and adopt new development tools, libraries and approaches to improve quality
  • Perform peer code review of project codebase changes
Required Skills :
  • At least 5 years of experience in industry of software development
  • At least 3 years of experience as Java software developer
  • At least 3 years of experience with LoanIQ Platform, including working with the Oracle Database Model
  • At least 2 years of experience with LoanIQ SDK
  • Java concurrency (practical experience and good knowledge)
  • Experience in developing distributed systems
  • Up-to-date overview of modern software development tools and techniques
  • Good knowledge of SQL (Oracle dialect is preferable)
  • Experience with REST, JMS, SOAP, Microservices
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Swagger, Tomcat and JSON and XML processing
  • Candidate should write code on daily basis
  • Up-to-date overview of modern software development tools and techniques
  • Deployment of Web Services to Tomcat
  • Expert Knowledge of: Threading, Collections, Exception Handling, JDBC, Java OOD/OOP Concepts, GoF Design Patterns, File I/O, and parsing XML and JSON, delimited files and fixed length files, String matching, parsing, building, working with binary data / byte arrays.
Preferred Skills :
  • Experience with Messaging Systems: RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka, etc.
  • Experience with Tomcat, Jetty
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Able to work with build/configure/deploy automation tools
  • Experience with Hadoop or MongoDB
  • Linux user
