In this role you will work in an agileenvironment delivering software solutions utilized by internal and externalcustomers. The candidate should have a passion for development and possess deepdevelopment skills in Modern software development technologies such as Cloudtechnologies. As a software developer, you will be responsible for developing,testing, reviewing, mentoring associates and integration tasks working within thishighly visible client focused web services application. Development efforts will alsoinclude feature enhancements and client implementations.This position will require close collaboration with the product team, projectmanagers, and the QA team.The code will be developed and tested in the same twoweek sprint.A successful candidate will have a motivation to achieve team resultsand the ability to learn new technologies.He or she must be a strong team player with an experience base of at least 6 yearsin increasingly challenging assignments. Background should include design anddevelopment experience in high-traffic, high-visibility, high-quality, highly-scalable,highly-secure, high-transaction volume, and/or high-availability productionenvironments.With limited direction, the successful candidate will:Demonstrate capacity for working in a fast-moving and often dynamicdevelopment environment.Have a strong background in Object Oriented design and development and ademonstrated ability to embrace and integrate new technologies and conceptsinto existing systems.Demonstrate experience in delivery of complex systems in a wide range oftechnologies but must have currency and expertise in Java technologies.Participate in development, testing, and support of applications, components,and services in a Java and AWS technology space.Own, deliver, represent, and support components in the pre-inception,inception, elaboration, construction, transition, and post-deployment phase ofan iterative product lifecycle.Work with customers, internal partners, and other technical staff to resolveproblems with software and systems and respond with suggestions forimprovements and enhancements to the solutions and services.Assist with the continuous refinement of supporting processes.Develop software architecture and associated documentation as designed.Collaborate with team developers and key members area to design product,maintain standards, and further product technologies.Will review design and development work of other developers or be called onas a resource to investigate and resolve product issues.Actively and effectively champions cross-team collaborationSkills Required :• 8+ years of experience in Java Tech stack• 2 years of experience delivering microservices in AWS and/or PivotalCloud Foundry leveraging DevOps and CI/CD tools/processes.• 4+ years of agile software development• 8-10 years of experience with software development and holds good trackrecord in terms of delivery excellence and application / product knowledge• Full Stack experience in Design, implement, deploy, and support webbased applications and web services using server technologies stacks thatinclude Java, JavaScript, Micro Services• Strong Experience in Web as well as API development frameworks• Should have experience in end-to-end development of software productsfrom requirement analysis to system study, designing, coding, debugging, documentation, and implementation.• Must have Cloud Native development experienceNon-technical capabilities:• Must have interpersonal and relationship skills necessary to work with anintegrated yet geographically dispersed team of customers, leaders,interface designers, product managers, developers, implementationspecialists and quality engineers.• Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines• Ability to work efficiently and productively without direction or guidance• Capable of exercising extreme discretion and independent judgment• Ability to co Have the ability to communicate proficiently to developers aswell as middle management• Possess aptitude and interest in full stack engineering - from server sideto front-end• Show willingness learn new frameworks and languages outside of currentexpertiseSkills Desired :Container technologies and their successful integration into the solutionspace.Experience with CICD is a value addExperience with NoSQL Database such as Cassandra and messaging platformssuch as KafkaExperience with API Management tools is a value addSolid understanding of concepts like Web Services, REST APIs, MessageQueue, Caching, Distributed/Scalable ArchitectureSolid practitioner’s understanding of secure application development bestpractices, such as OWASPExperience working with GitHubExperience working in Developer PortalsExperience in migrating legacy apps to Cloud especially apps build on Java tech stackEducation Required :Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience .Note :Contract to Hire .
