Careers that Change LivesMedtronic Eatontown, New Jersey, is looking for a Lab Technician I. In this role, you will perform testing in the QC Laboratory in one or more of the Laboratories (Chemistry, Microbiology, and Isolator).A Day in the LifeAs the Lab Technician I , you will:
Reconcile test samples and distribution among all Laboratories.
Prepare samples for testing according to SOPs.
Ensure cleanliness of the laboratory.
Perform routine water testing.
Perform routine Chemistry testing utilizing instrumentation including balances, thermogravimetric moisture analyzers, AA, and HPLC.
Perform sterility testing utilizing isolator barrier technology.
Perform sample preparation and/or testing in biological safety cabinets or fume hoods.
Perform a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions.
Make and record observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation.
Conduct laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
Perform technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection.
Perform technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience working in Laboratory
Aseptic technique
Familiarity with GMP/GDP requirements
Experience developing, documenting and training process and procedures
People skills to understand cultural differences, adapts quickly, and collaborates effectively
Good writing and documentation skills
Good organizational skills
Good verbal communication skills
