This dynamic position supports a talented Lockheed Martin team responsible for the engineering of launch control software programs that are components of the Mk41 Vertical Launching System. You will act as a software authority and help to guide the team through various program achievements and customer demos. Your work will be reviewed by senior leaders upon completion for quality against business objectives. Periodic travel to the LM facility in Middle River, MD is required for development testing.Specific responsibilities of this role are to transition into a technical team lead for roughly 10 engineers supporting the Vertical Launching System (VLS) Launch Control Unit (LCU) for multiple VLS LCU software programs. This area has a rich past with historical monuments like the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall nearby.Basic Qualifications:- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related subject area, such as software engineering or computer science.- Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering- Expert in C and Java- Familiarity with real-time operating systems- Demonstrated usage of program languages in a software engineering role- Experience with Cost estimation/Proposal experience, including software sizing estimation- Demonstrated experience with full lifecycle agile software development projects- Demonstrated experience in Software architecture and design methodologies- Experience developing and leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Level ClearanceDesired Skills:- Experience presenting technical information to customers at Preliminary/Comprehensive Design Reviews (or equivalent)- Experience with Model Based Engineering tools desired,- Experience with Static Code Analysis tools desired,- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development desired- Specific experience with VxWorks and Linux OSBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
