Piper Companies is currently seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for a full-time, work-from-home, contract opportunity for a leading opensource platform provider. The Lead Systems Engineer will support Red Hat Linux systems, and utilize Red Hat Satellite 6 systems provisioning, content view management, and host group management.
The Lead Systems Engineer must be able to work EST hours, and occasionally travel to Atlantic City, NJ when needed for on-site client work. Responsibilities of the Lead Systems Engineer:- Maintain, manage, and update Red Hat Linux systems
- Lead the installation, and configuration of Ansible; build Ansible Playbooks
- Deploy and manage system infrastructure using Red Hat Satellite
- Work independently to complete tasks before deadlines, and maintain regular contact with Support Engineers to troubleshoot issues as they arise
- 5 years minimum of system administration experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems
- 2+ years of practical experience with Red Hat Satellite
- (Preferred) Experience working with Ansible
- Candidate must hold U.S. citizenship
- $115,000 - $130,000 annually
