New Era Technology is a global IT integrator with 2,500+ employees delivering Collaboration, Cloud, Data Networking, Security, Large Venue, and Corporate AV and Managed Service Solutions to more than 9,000 customers.We currently have a need for a Level III On-Site Audiovisual and Videoconference Field Service Technician supporting a Global Network Infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience. Global Financial Services, Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is strongly preferred.- · Minimum 8-10 years of experience operating audiovisual, multimedia, broadcast, and computing systems.
- · Extensive background in audiovisual systems engineering, maintenance, and operational support
- · Strong computer skills including MAC and/or PC based applications
- · In-depth knowledge of commercial audiovisual, videoconferencing, multimedia, and broadcast manufacturers.
- · Understanding of networking, servers, infrastructure, phone systems, architecture, and applications and how these integrate with a VC platform
- · Understanding of various videoconference platforms including Cisco, Poly, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and others.
- · Understanding of operations of various audiovisual control systems including AMX, Extron, and Crestron
- · Understanding of operations of various audio DSP equipment
- · Professional demeanor and customer service skills
- · Ensure appropriate use of equipment
- · Self-sufficient, self-motivated, organized, reliable, and punctual
- · Avixa (Infocomm) Industry Certified CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
- · Proficient in system troubleshooting and repair of field serviceable items
- · End user training
- · Assist in performing maintenance and preventive maintenance on existing AV equipment
- · Customer orientation for meetings and events
- · Technical recommendations and evaluation of innovative technology regarding videoconference technology.
- · Proficient in broad range of A/V Presentation Technology applications.
- · Evaluate and test new technology.
- · Provide input required for recommendations/system design for new and existing technologies.
- · Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues
- · Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- · Ability to work and think independently
- · Knowledge of basic to advanced signal flow for audio, video, and control
- · Ability to troubleshoot basic AV network and connection issues to UCC platforms
- · Ability to manage small to medium projects
- · Ability to solder & crimp connectors
- · Minor programming capability (AMX/Crestron) - changes and troubleshooting
