Mainframe Developer6- yrsTechnical/Functional SkillsAnalysis, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment for mainframe applications with technical experience and development expertise in JCL, COBOL, DB2 and IMS.Good analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.Ability to understand Business requirements and transform them to high level and low level design specifications.Good experience and understanding of SDLC lifecycle.Experience working with VSAM, MQ, REXX, and Easytrieve would be an advantage.Project Experience: At least 6 years in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment of Mainframe Projects.Good exposure to agile methodology.Skill in conceptualizing creative solutions, as well as documenting them and presenting/selling them to senior managementStrong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidenceStrong customer focus and ability to manage Client expectationsExperience RequiredExperience of working in Onsite/Offshore modelStrong customer focus and ability to manage Client expectationsRoles & ResponsibilitiesUnderstand existing business processes and serve as an application subject matter expert (SME)Should be able to liaise with Business to understand their requirements and validate feasibility of delivery within timeframe requested.Provide solution / options / approaches aligned to customer expectations, highlight dependencies.Should be able to work in an agile mode and also prioritize business work itemsShould be efficient in mapping business requirements by interacting with vendors, clients, consultants & other multiple stakeholdersPreparation of low level design, Analysis and solution proposals at Project LevelDevelopment of custom componentsParticipate in meetings with customer and with onsite team in requirements and design discussionsReady to work in support project on a need basisGeneric Managerial SkillsConfer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problemsCoordinate project activities with activities of business unitsCoordinate and respond to requests for changes from original specificationsWork closely with end users, business technologists and others to understand business goals and information needs, and then develop system requirements and design specifications; direct efforts to refine conceptual systems design requirements into the technical design
