Our client, an electronic company, is seeking a Manager of Digital Insights and Analytics (contractor)

Location: Ridgefield Park, NJ

Job Summary:

The Research Manager of Digital Insights and Analytics assists on uncovering consumer and shopper insights using digital / social data. S/he is responsible in executing analytical-driven research and analytics of assigned projects that provide thought leadership learnings and actionable insights in supporting Corporate Marketing. This manager position supports the Corporate Marketing team and is a subject matter expert within SEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full scope of assigned research and analytics projects; triage ad hoc requests as business needs arise including:
  • Social Listening voice-of-the consumer
  • Flash Reports based on competitor activity; breaking news relevant to
  • Competitive benchmarking to understand strengths and opportunities
  • Monitor trends around Corporate Marketing's key pillars, and identify best in class activations for benchmarking and innovation
  • Partner with key stakeholders to deeply understand the business issues and specific questions to address, and identify trending topics that can be used for activation
  • Bring in additional data sources to connect the dots on what is driving social buzz and how to capitalize on it
  • Develop and align with Marketing Leads and PR on social KPIs that can be used to measure campaign success as well as risk potential
  • Be the SME for Digital and Social analysis within SEA:
  • Be available to SEA colleagues on how to use existing tools, dashboards and alert functionality
  • Work alongside CMI colleagues to layer in social analytics as part of the business overall learning agenda for the year
  • Help evaluate and recommend tools for the business to invest
  • Manage the current tool infrastructure to ensure that it can capture relevant information in a timely manner

Basic Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing or business or related fields, advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of digital and social analytics & reporting experience
  • Expert with key research and data analytics tools (eg. Sprinklr, Crimson Hexagon/Brandwatch,
  • BrandTotal) and able to use them for questionnaire programming, data analytics and reporting
  • Able to tell a succinct and impactful story in Powerpoint
  • Capable of running basic correlation analysis in Excel
  • Mix of research agency and brand side experience preferred
  • Some technology industry research experience preferred
  • Some digital marketing and website research experience strongly preferred
  • Looking for candidates w/ extensive research experience in social insights - using social media & data (understanding what's going on right now in the market; corporate reputation online, etc).
