Please note that this is a 6 months contract position. Shift: 3pm to 11:30pm. Training will be on first shift. Duties:Pick/Pack customer and manufacturing orders to conform with order instructions, transportation regulations and department SOP’s. Load all freight on carriers in accordance with Shipping and manifest reports and Bill of LadingUnload truck and palletize all incoming materials and store/delivers to appropriate area/individual. Visually identifies and inspects incoming materials for accuracy and condition prior to signing receipt documents. Enters computerized receipt information into MRP system where applicableControls, handles and stores manufacturing components, raw materials, chemicals, finished goods, instrumentation and hazards materials from receipt to issue. Maintains inventory accuracy, proper storage of materials by status and ensures that all materials are moved on a timely basis. Generate carrier manifest reports, order status reports and shipping labels. Process opening and closing of the day checklist in accordance with department SOP’sProcess all materials for scrap when required in accordance with medical and/or hazardous waste regulations along with receipt, storage and destruction of returned goods in accordance with the Return Goods PolicyMaintains the work area in a neat and orderly fashion at all times and complies with cGMP’s and Good Housekeeping PracticesThis is not an exhaustive, comprehensive listing of job functions. May perform other duties as assigned. The normal hours for this position will be 9:30am – 6:00pm. Overtime will be required as needed.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one to two years of related experience in a distribution related environment and a GMP environment is required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.Experience operating a fork lift truck, pallet jack and other material handling equipment Experience working in Biotechnology, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and/or Consumer Product Manufacturing is preferredExperience working with SAP is preferred. This position requires ability to work overtime hours when required. Physical & Work Condition DemandsMust be able to work for periods of time at temperatures as cold as -20° C while wearing appropriate PPE when requiredMust be capable of significant physical laborMust be capable of operating in a fast paced, team work environmentMust wear company issued uniform and safety shoesMust be willing to rotate through all functional areas of Distribution: Shipping, Receiving and WarehousingMust be able to work overtime as requiredMust be able to operate a fork truck and willing to participate in the safety drug screening programApplicants must provide their phone number.
