Position: Middleware Platform Engineer/Cloud Engineer

Location: Iselin, NJ/Charlotte, NC (Hybrid from Day one)

Middleware Platform Engineer/Cloud Engineer with focus on delivering results on-time, in-full to the expected quality levels.

Someone who can take charge of small efforts, doing system analysis and also able to drive tasks in the plan to completion.

Job DescriptionsCandidate must be well versed on Middleware products and services hosted in virtual machines, containers, and public cloud. They should come with working knowledge oforchestration platforms such as Ansible, Puppet & Terraform as well as CI/CD process automation. Candidate should have experience delivering and managing cloud solutionsin support of a large scale application migration strategy. They will enable and configure middleware products for application onboarding. They will also enhance monitoringas appropriate to allow proactive responses to issues.
  • Install/Deploy Middleware Technology and Platforms leveraging CI/CD Pipeline using Ansible
  • Configure and expand Weblogic/Websphere sever clusters on VM to enhance scalability and resiliency
  • Configure and expand Apache HTTP server clusters on VM to enhance scalability and resiliency
  • Review Middleware components for tuning opportunities that will enhance performance
  • Install and configure Java base applications on VM(s)
  • Develop and enhance automation scripts to deliver platforms more seamlessly using Ansible
  • Enhance process to remediate security vulnerabilities through Patching
  • Review and reduce automation failures through code enhancements
  • Renew Server and JKS Certificates across Middleware platforms
  • Review and document Middleware capacity across data centers to ensure parity
  • Develop Terraform templates to provision cloud Infrastructure
  • Assist developers as appropriate to troubleshoot application related issues following infrastructure change or upgrade.
  • Require candidate with critical thinking & problem solving skills
    • Strong understanding of Middleware cloud services
    • Experience with cloud infrastructure (
    • Working knowledge of containerization technologies (Openshift, EKS, etc)
    • Strong experience in automation and scripting (Terraform, Python, Ansible)
    • Understanding of cloud networking concepts and protocols
    • Working knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Good communication and team collaboration skills
    • Expertise with installing and deploying applications to the cloud
    • Experience with Agile methodology
    • Knowledge of Identity management tools and their usage (PingIdentity, MFA, etc)
    • Ability to collaborate with application developer teams on their cloud strategy
    • Execution mindset to deliver fast results
    • Well versed with IaaS, PaaS & SaaS frameworks
