Overview:This position is responsible for translating credit approvals and raw information into complete, accurate and legally enforceable contracts.Primary Responsibilities:
Reviews credit approvals, opens document files and verifies pertinent information, prepares documentation and closes and funds transactions ensuring credit approval conditions and all credit and documentation guidelines are met. Interacts with internal and external customers to coordinate the processing of the transaction. Closes loan or lease and obtains a wide variety of documents to meet closing requirements
Obtains and reviews liens and lien searches. Obtains releases or subordinations of competing filings and processes titles to vehicles. Prepares and processes interim funding for progress payments including vendor agreements and transit insurance.
Utilizes specialized knowledge of the purchasing of non-M&T paper and assignment documentation for third party originations to complete the more complex tasks.
Books transaction and inputs all informational requirements into system, stores original documents in vault and returns copies to customers. Completes all follow up, prepares documents and audits document files with minimal supervision.
Assists in the sale of transactions, including non-routine assignments.
Creates document files on more complex transactions including lines of credit.
Obtains and reviews follow-up lien searches to ensure first lien position. Follow-up for original releases or subordinations of competing filings and original Certificates of Title and/or Manufacturer’s Statements of Origin.
May follow up for insurance renewal at policy expiration.
Completes all follow up and prepares document file for audit. Audits document files following established guidelines.
Acts as a source to Contract Associates. May assist operations or Branch Manager with Day-to-day operational activities.
Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:High school diploma or equivalency required with a minimum of three years relevant experience.Education and Experience Preferred:
Strong written and verbal skills are needed to communicate to internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner and the ability to convey moderately complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Working knowledge of loan and lease documentation. Strong analytical and math skills with the ability to evaluate equipment sales contracts, related documents and data.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain a high level of accuracy and meet tight deadlines. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple responsibilities in a highly efficient manner.
Strong PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, internet and leasing software. Ability to learn to use additional programs as needed.
Ability to use own discretion when faced with routine decisions.
Ability to work well with a team and share knowledge and skills.
