Music Director (Organist and Pianist) for Roman Catholic Church

Must be familiar with the Catholic Faith and all Catholic liturgies throughout the year

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Planning, coordinating, and at times, assisting the music selections for all liturgical celebrations for weekend Masses, Holy Day of Obligations, and special Liturgies at St. Vincent Pallotti Church (SVP)

Must have least 3-5 years’ experience directing choral music in church, university, or comparable setting

Must oversee cantor ministry including being involved in the recruiting and auditioning of cantors

Must work with, and at times managing adult choir volunteers as well as with professional singers and musicians

Fee per Saturday/Sunday Mass: $125.00 (5PM Saturday, 8:30AM, 11AM, Sunday)

SVP Music Director expected to perform at the following additional liturgies and Holy Days of Obligation for the same fee of $125.00/Mass:

January 1st: Solemnity of Mary

May 14th: Ascension of Jesus

August 15th: Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

November 1st: Solemnity of All Saints

December 8th: Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Holy Thursday (Eve)

Good Friday (3PM)

First Holy Communion

Confirmation

Weekday Christmas Vigil Masses (3)

Weekday Christmas Day Masses (2)

Some Holy Days of Obligation that fall on a Saturday or Monday are observed on the Sunday closest to those days.

Other Mass Liturgy Fees paid:

Funeral Mass/Service: $175.00

Weddings Mass/Ceremony: $250.00

Please note: This part-time position does not qualify for medical benefits or paid vacation days, sick days, or personal days due to working less than 20 hours per week. This Agreement is non-binding between both parties.
