Get 2 weeks of paid classroom training with education modules and 2 weeks of paid on-the-unit training. All shifts will be available, but those who apply must be open to working night shift, 11 pm - 7:30 am. Base hourly pay rate is $19.25 (Shift Differential: $1.25). Candidates who successfully pass the training will be transferred into a Full Time Nursing Assistant position within Trinitas and must remain employed in that position for at least 1 year.

In this role, you will:

Perform patient care procedures and related activities as delegated by the Registered Nurse and within the framework of the written care plan.

Attend formal instructional learning to improve your skill and confidence as a Nursing Assistant.

Carries out patient assignments under the direct supervision of the registered nurse, and clinical instructor with a comprehensive approach to achieve specific outcomes.

Provides for hygiene, safety, and comfort needs of assigned patients.

Assists patients with activities of daily living and encourages appropriate self-care.

Measures vital signs, feeding and transportation of patient and treatments.

Under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and/or clinical instructor may do the following: blood glucose monitoring and phlebotomy.

JOB SUMMARY

Assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care. Performs direct care duties, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.

Educational Skills Required (Degree(s), Certification(s), License, etc.)

High School Diploma or Equivalency; Completion of a nursing fundamentals course in an accredited School of Nursing or Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred; CPR within six months of date of employment as a Nursing Assistant; Ability to perform all competencies of the position is required for employment in the position.
