Order Entry Clerk

Description Robert Half is seeking an Order Entry Clerk for a 5-month contract opportunity based in Bloomfield, New Jersey. This role primarily centers around customer service and order management functions. The successful candidate will be entrusted with ensuring the execution of customer-service standards, processing orders accurately and timely, and resolving any pricing discrepancies and order issues. Responsibilities: Handle daily order processing tasks including sample orders, customer orders, returns, donations, and EDI orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Address and resolve pricing discrepancies in coordination with sales managers, customers, and/or brokers at the time of order. Confirm orders meet minimum quantity and lead time requirements. Resolve order issues promptly and escalate where appropriate. Conduct research on order information and availability. Handle billing and shipping issues efficiently. Collaborate with management and other departments on escalated customer account concerns. Research and resolve any order/pricing related deductions. Act as a backup to monitor the customer service mailbox to distribute incoming requests as necessary. Act as a backup to create PO’s for direct drop ship orders.Requirements 3-5 years of experience in order management and processing Experience with Oracle software is preferred Prior experience with Microsoft Excel required Familiarity with Order Management systems Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of organizational skillsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
