Ornamental and architectural metal workshop

A leading provider of ornamental and architectural metal workshop is in need of a seasoned, experienced Metalworker, Fabricator and/or Artist-Blacksmith.

General requirements:

Knowledge of materials, hand tools, metalworking machinery and metal finishes. Knowledge of metric and imperial system and read technical drawing in both systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.

Technical skills:

Using metalworking hand tools (traditional and modern) and milling machines. Welding knowledge, TIG and MIG welding different metals.

Advantage: Experience in using lathe, run and program CNC machines.

Metal finishing knowledge:

Experience in, or willing to learn to create protective and decorative finishes on different metals. Texturing, acid etching, patina finishes on bronzes, brasses. Steel blueing and blackening.

Applied knowledge:

Shop fabrication and installations.

Advantage: Stair and railing fabrication knowledge. Site templating.
