Payroll Clerk

Description We are in the process of recruiting a Payroll Clerk for our IT Services division located in Parsippany, New Jersey. This role involves assisting our Payroll Manager, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining our payroll system efficiently. The recruited individual will be expected to work on-site initially for training purposes and subsequently perform tasks remotely. Responsibilities: Assist the Corporate Payroll Department in their daily tasks Collect, enter, and file timesheets for our hourly/salaried in-house staff employees Import HR information into company systems on a daily basis Set-up and respond to weekly wage garnishment orders sent to our company Calculate vacation/holiday payouts for terminating employees Perform gross to net calculations for on-demand pay requests in ADP EV5 Assist with special projects as assigned by the Payroll Manager or Payroll Specialist Use intermediate knowledge of MS Excel [v-lookup and pivot tables] for data analysis and payroll management Utilize SAP 4.7 and ADP EV5 for payroll processing (if already familiar, otherwise training will be provided) Ensure extreme attention to detail and ability to work well with little instruction in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk in the IT Services industry Proficient in data entry tasks, with a high level of accuracy Knowledge and experience with payroll systems, preferably SAP Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting Familiarity with ADP Financial Services for payroll processing Strong numerical skills and attention to detail Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information High school diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field is a plus Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
