Payroll Specialist Parsippany NJ 3 days onsite Our client is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist. Objective We are looking for a Payroll/ESOP Specialist to support our business. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp the business, payroll / ESOP related concepts, exercise judgment and record on-time accurate data into the companys financial system. A successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced work environment. This position will be a strong resource for the local Accounting Team as well as for the broader organization. A successful candidate will be open to new challenges and want to work in a wide and forward-thinking business. The position will be responsible for payroll processing and recordings as well as calculation of estimated payroll withholdings on ESOP transactions. Candidate must be knowledgeable in other financial aspects such as I/C cross charge and Intercompany payments. The ideal individual will have experience in ESOP and ESPP and be exceptionally organized Responsibilities & Scope of Role

  • Stock Administration for all US & Canada employees
  • Maintain relationship and process semi-monthly payroll through 3rd party provider
  • Partner with HR to ensure all changes within pay period are properly captured
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary state and federal requirements in area of ESOP/ payroll (i.e. state withholding; new state registration)
  • Accountable for proper payroll integration and compliance for new acquisitions
  • Full ownership of payroll cycle (process, reporting, pre-approvals & reconciliations)
  • Supports external and internal audits in area of ESOP/ payroll
Qualifications & Experience
  • 4-5 years experience with payroll processing and ESOP in a publically traded organization
  • ERP & ESPP working experience
  • Familiarity with IRS Code 409A
  • Multistate payroll experience
  • Shareworks experience (or similar equity planning solution)- a plus
  • Prior SOX experience - a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
