Job Title: Physical Substation EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Physical Substation Engineer to join our team. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities including conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new, upgraded, and expanded substations. You will also handle material procurement tasks and provide construction and commissioning/startup support through energization. In addition, you will develop and deliver physical, electrical, civil, and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits, and specifications. You will be responsible for the QA/QC of primary substation design and will have the opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers. You will also coordinate and complete Distribution studies, transmission studies, and grounding studies as well as protection (relay coordination and settings).Hard Skills

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Kenilworth, New Jersey and some days remote.Work EnvironmentOur work environment is a hybrid model. Initially, we would prefer the candidate to spend 3-4 days in the office to gain a better understanding of duties and establish relationships. Post this initial period, the schedule could move to 1-2 days in the office. Start and end times for daily office hours are flexible, with 7-4, 8-5, and 9-6 as acceptable schedules. We offer 8 holidays including New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Memorial Day, the day after Thanksgiving, July 4th, Christmas Day, Labor Day, and a half day on Christmas Eve.
