Title: Power BI Solution ArchitectClient is re-platforming their Data Warehouse environment to Google Cloud Platform. This resource will help in this huge effort as a Subject Matter Expert. They will help to work with the vendors, have product ownership and be responsible for this multi-year initiative.This is a global role under the Data and Analytics group. Duration: 6+ months - contract to Hire roleSorry no third parties as this is a Right to hire role.

Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYYou will be accountable for proactively and holistically supporting Solution Architect activities within specific product groups that fit within the overall Enterprise Architecture and meet the product group strategy. You will provide the necessary leadership, analysis, and design tasks related to the development of solutions based on Google Cloud Platform and Power BI tech stacks. You will own the solution architecture specification and be accountable for supervising the design as well as the integration execution

Job Responsibilities
  • Delivers the integration of solutions within the product / product group / platform and implements the integration strategy for cross-product group purposes
  • Ensures delivery of architecture patterns that effectively leverage data foundation assets and incorporate API led designs.
  • Help to define Power BI standards and best practices
  • Review work performed by Power BI vendors
  • Support development work with expertise
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for Power BI development
  • Ensure sensible solution architecture and designs for data models, security design, reports, dashboards, and all Power BI artifacts
  • Ensure solution architecture is built for longevity and not short-term project success
  • Ensure platform sizing is always optimal with a vision for growth as new projects are developed
  • Provide expert input into the Power BI roadmap to support all approved projects
  • Oversee vendors on maintenance and new projects - provide all necessary guidance and management to ensure highest quality deliverables
  • Align and coordinate between development work and QA work
  • Provide guidance on standards for Change Management, Information Security, Software Dev Life Cycle, etc.
  • Ensure coordination between vendor and various T support teams
  • Review, evaluate, and validate future Power BI resource proposed by vendors for technical adequacy
  • Support business partners that require Power BI guidance
  • Identify adequate data sources for project needs and methods for access

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience with Business Intelligence, Data integration, Solution Architecture
  • Working experience with agile methods and processes
  • Experience working with Power BI migrations and solutions
  • Ability to understand the long-term and short-term perspectives of situations
  • Data Governance experience is a huge plus
