Why you'll love this job: Being a member of the Information Technology Group, you will be responsible for the architecture, development and adoption of enterprise business and technical capabilities. Capabilities are realized as assets which may be central (services) or federated (components integrated into consuming solutions) and must be flexible to meet the needs of a range of adopting applications. Responsible for creating, communicating, and facilitating alignment to enterprise-wide application architecture, standards, design principals, guidelines and common solutions. Responsible for developing roadmaps and blueprints to ensure architecture goals are met in both tactical and strategic frames. Collaborates with a broad range of collaborators including Business Architecture, Domain Architects, Solution Architects, Data Architects, Application Development, various Risk Domains (security, continuity, etc.), Operations, Program and Project management (Agile roles), etc. to assure solutions cost effectively address the broad range of functional and non-functional requirements necessary to uphold the DTCC brand image and meet industry needs. Position requires highly advanced technical skills in multiple technical domains along with demonstrated ability to master new technical domains to a level sufficient to give to the delivery of valuable capability assets that accelerate solution delivery and have strong return on investment. Exceptional collaboration, communication and leadership skills, particularly the ability to influence, are vital to being effective in this position. Specialized knowledge of DTCC applications and/or financial industry post trade solutions is a significant differentiator among candidates. Candidates who lack such knowledge will be expected to rapidly develop financial industry post trade domain knowledge. Position requires highly advanced analytical skills and demonstrated leadership capability. Job Responsibilities: Capability Architecture

Understand business architecture goals and architect assets that can deliver a solid return on investment and accelerate AD team solution delivery capability.
Understand implementation context and team capabilities to provide appropriate guidance for team to successfully implement capability assets and package those assets for efficient consumption by AD teams creating solutions
Work with wide range of collaborators to assure capability architecture delivery addresses the needs of all collaborators
Assist with early stage analysis including supplying to arguments and estimation
Assist with project execution including input to project planning and risk identification
Assist with acceptance criteria, particularly packaging assets for self-service consumption
Assist with project closure including assessing and helping handling risks to closure
Supplies to \"buy vs. build\" analyses of proposed capabilities
Identifies, understands, and documents extensions to, and variants from, architectural guidelines

Application Architecture Practice

Research leading ideas, methodologies and technology to enable superior delivery capabilities.
Assist compliance and governance when adopting new practices as well as partnering in development of appropriate governance for new technologies and application architecture practices

Application Architecture

Drafts conceptual and logical architecture specifications for both capability assets and for adopting applications
Assists project teams during system design with the drafting of logical architectural models
Assists project teams during system design to promote the efficient re-use of IT assets
Advises project team during system development to assure compliance with architectural principles, guideline and standards
Shares DTCC's architectural vision with collaborators through informal discussion and formal presentations

Application Development

Provides senior level consulting services to augment team skills and provide hands-on education

NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. Talents Needed For Success:

Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in application development
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of above 10 in leadership roles (team lead, design lead, line manager, etc.)
Years of experience in post-trade processing of global financial transactions is a significant plus

Additional Qualifications:

Possess a thorough understanding of common software delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps)
Familiarity with the software Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and similar benchmarks
Technical skills span multiple languages, databases, platforms with emphasis on hosted (vs. shrink wrap) software
Technical skills include current leading technologies, particularly API, Cloud and DLT related technologies
Maintains current knowledge of marketplace changes, technology changes, and client businesses relevant to DTCC
Demonstrates advanced analytical skills
Demonstrates advanced verbal, visual and written communication skills in technical domains
Demonstrates leadership skills, particularly soft-skills and ability to influence
Securities industry background preferred
