An entertainment organization in New Jersey is looking to add a new Product Designer - Internal Tools to their team.
Responsibilities: The Product Designer - Internal Tools will:- Work closely with customer-facing designers and Agile teams to streamline experiences
- Grow expertise and stay current on best-in-class editorial tools as they apply to News experiences
- Partner closely with Editorial and Engineering team members to develop new features
- Capture interactions, edge-cases, & the various states of these experiences through deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
- Use data to inform design decisions and continually validate your work with real users
- Map out user journeys and flows
- Gather insights and inputs from internal stakeholders
- Build low-fi to high-fi designs as needed in the product development process to run reviews and to gain buy-in on ideas
- Collaborate with design peers and their teams to share learnings, leverage shared effort and ensure quality cross-platform experience
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack product designer who utilizes a data-driven, human-centric approach to product design and development
- 5+ years of experience with Product Discovery, Design Thinking, Lean UX
- 5+ years of experience with contemporary design, prototyping tools, and methods
- Bachelor's Degree
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Robust design skills, including interaction design, layout, typography, and color
- Solid understanding of usability & accessibility best practices across platforms throughout the design process, with a background in Mobile
