Product Designer - Internal Tools

An entertainment organization in New Jersey is looking to add a new Product Designer - Internal Tools to their team.

• Work closely with customer-facing designers and Agile teams to streamline experiences
• Grow expertise and stay current on best-in-class editorial tools as they apply to News experiences
• Partner closely with Editorial and Engineering team members to develop new features
• Capture interactions, edge-cases, & the various states of these experiences through deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
• Use data to inform design decisions and continually validate your work with real users
• Map out user journeys and flows
• Gather insights and inputs from internal stakeholders
• Build low-fi to high-fi designs as needed in the product development process to run reviews and to gain buy-in on ideas
• Collaborate with design peers and their teams to share learnings, leverage shared effort and ensure quality cross-platform experience
• Perform other duties, as needed

• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack product designer who utilizes a data-driven, human-centric approach to product design and development
• 5+ years of experience with Product Discovery, Design Thinking, Lean UX
• 5+ years of experience with contemporary design, prototyping tools, and methods
• Bachelor's Degree
• Solid problem solving and time management skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

• Robust design skills, including interaction design, layout, typography, and color
• Solid understanding of usability & accessibility best practices across platforms throughout the design process, with a background in Mobile
