Role:- Product line manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Acts as pre-sales liaison between field sales and sales administration, applications, manufacturing, service and all other departments. Attend regular Canadian order review and delivery meetings Support field sales with quotations and technical bid composition. Liaison between sales, applications, manufacturing and 3rd party suppliers to make sure all necessary components are quoted Technical support of the domestic sales administration team. Identify potential new accounts on line, grant researching, government funding. CRM web lead entry. Performs other duties as required by management. JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Interfaces with management, field sales, prospects, customers, manufacturing, customer service and sales administration team. DECISION-MAKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING: Consults applications scientists and R&D to properly configure orders. In consultation with the sales staff and other departments, makes decisions with regard to providing proper information on customer requirements, opinion, satisfaction and reporting. Assesses incoming orders for accuracy and required documentation and contacts customers and sales staff to acquire necessary information to complete the transaction. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Professional, dynamic presence and the ability to communicate with people at all levels Excellent written and verbal skills Fluency in French strongly preferred Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Attention to detail Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task Proficient in MS Office (Word, Power Point & Excel) Works well in a team and independently Negotiation skills Technical aptitude in the scientific instrument industry EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE Minimum Bachelor's degree from a college or university, scientific discipline preferred; or one to two years related experience and / or training in a similar position.
