Program Manager - IT Hosting & Operational Services

Position Description CGI is seeking a seasoned program managers to join our growing team supporting life science clients through end to end solution offerings and professional services. The successful candidate must be able to work in a cross-functional environment and interact with representatives from CGI, and our end-clients. This program lead manager will work at various CGI/ clients consulting and executing various life science business and IT initiatives from road map assessment architecture best practice phase implementations, and go live

Your future duties and responsibilities This role requires a very experienced Senior Program Manager with the ability to manage complex projects across a diverse group of stakeholders. This project will have multiple workstreams to meet the objectives. Workstreams will include internal resources as well as external resources. Therefore, this role will require the ability to work across multiple workstreams and coordinate time, budget, and resources to complete work within the program guidelines. Strong organization and communications skills are a must, with the ability to structure meetings and other forms of communications to target the needs of the intended audience. The ideal candidate should be able to deal effectively with project ambiguity, use an analytical approach to define the project so that ambiguity is minimized, prepare and manage an integrated project plan, track financials, and effectively manage RAID items, constraints, and dependencies. Must be able to work in a matrix environment, as this role will work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience in working on projects using Agile methodology a must.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role Knowledge of hosting technology is required as is strong project financial management skills. Previous experience in working on projects using Agile methodology a must.The following skills are critical to being successful in this role:• Experience of 10+ years in the Pharma industry• Strong communication skills allowing candidate to serve as primary point of contact for all communications within Biopharma IT, Business teams and any third parties involved in the Program - effectively communicates relevant information to key program stakeholders as per defined Communications plan• Strong executive presence to lead executive steering committee• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capability, ability to function in a highly complex matrix organization• Experience leading a multi-year, complex IT program• Ability to manage a program budget greater than $20MM- Ability to work with internal clients and partners to understand audience - what's relevant to them, and how they should receive information; key messages that need to be conveyed and how to effectively package information, especially for executive-level delivery- Be an effective communicator with technical audiences, able to present complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders in person and via status reports.- Excellent writing and editorial skills, ability to process large amounts of information and/or data and distil them into relevant messages- A thorough understanding of agile SDLC methodologies and the project manager's role in it including prioritization, technical and project risk assessment, estimation, project timelines, value-based change control etc.- Expertise in resolving conflicting priorities.- Demonstrated ability to exercise thought leadership- Demonstrated skills in managing and working with external personnel in a team environment
