PROJECT COORDINATOR WITH PHARMACEUTICAL KENILWORTH, NJ Onsite. Resource must be local to NJ sites (Rahway or Kenilworth) . Project Description:

  • The Client's Modernization Program team is looking for one resource to work directly with scientists and other laboratory/manufacturing staff.
  • This resource will have familiarity of [laboratory] safety practices, GxP and familiarity with lab equipment, tools, and technology.
  • The role will provide support, consultation, coordination, and project management; the candidate will act as a team collaborator.
  • Heavy scheduling, calendar management and tracking for multiple scientists, lab personnel and vendors.
  • This role will involve on-site work and the position will be based in New Jersey Kenilworth or Rahway site.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders, execution teams, Scientists, and vendors to plan, schedule and coordinate upgrades.
  • The Incumbent will not be performing upgrades but will first work with the lab scientists to understand if there is a need for an upgrade and what needs to be updated.
  • Then, aligning with other labs and business groups to see if they have hardware/software/assets to update as well.
  • Would be responsible for coordinating the best times/dates for the business with as little disruption as possible.
  • Also responsible for assigning a point of contact from the business to remediate any issues once the upgrades take place.
  • Responsible for going to each location to contact the lab owner regarding retiring equipment, the need for new equipment, etc.
  • Drive execution efforts upgrading Client's Research Laboratories' computer and instrumentation inventory from Windows 7 to Windows 10 across multiple sites.
  • Will be coordinating, planning, and scheduling.
  • Will interact with and manage internal and external stakeholders, vendors, teams/departments to perform vendor management, procure desktop and end-user hardware/software, wireless and other devices and to coordinate workflow.
  • Assist in determining upgrade path and disposition of instrumentation and lab PC's based on local policies.
  • Assist and help manage tracking of specific item workflows.
  • Work with lab scientists and capital asset stewards to complete capital request templates.
  • Assist with equipment inventory and database true ups.
  • Identifies risks, partners with team members to mitigate risk, and promptly communicates risks and issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Liaise with vendors at a technical level in understanding roadmaps and new technologies.
  • Work closely with Procurement team and other internal stakeholders to acquire quotes from suppliers and create purchase orders.
Required Skills:
  • Associates degree at a minimum (required) however, Bachelors preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Solid background in Information Technology & project management.
  • You may have scheduled, planned and/or coordinated PC services or minor desktop support.
  • Resource should have top-notch planning and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with GxP guidelines/regulations.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Problem solver.
  • General awareness and out of the box understanding of how networks/systems/tools and equipment work together.
  • Ideal candidate will have pharmaceutical, biotech and/or lab environment background.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are critical.
  • This position will spend a great deal of time with stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain, outline and detail confidently and accurately is imperative.
  • Should be forward-thinking and consultative in nature.
  • Able to analyse process, technology, recommend solutions, improvements and propose changes.
  • Should be organized and proficient with project & data management/tracking and processes.
  • Resource is comfortable with communicating risk and issues pertaining to project to stakeholders, vendors, and teams.
  • Should have familiarity working in a scientific lab in a hospital or manufacturing environment, and experience with equipment/systems used in a lab setting.
  • Technical acumen of lab equipment and computer systems is expected.
  • Resource will also have strong Project Management skills.
  • Resource should be able to self-direct and drive a project forward.
  • Continually and consistently meet and balance multiple priorities at once.
  • Resource should have experience working with navigating complex, cross-functional, diverse teams.
  • Machine paths, system names.
  • Negotiation skills are helpful.
  • Resource should be well versed in Windows 7 & 10 OS's.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Power BI, Power Point and SharePoint as a repository for documentation and entry of project information.
  • Self-motivated, well-spoken, team-player.
  • Easy going and have a positive attitude in hand.
