QA Automation Test Engineer - SDET

Position: Test Engineer & QA Automation (Roseland, NJ)Responsibilities: Review and approve software design specifications, including submittingdefects with repeatable steps and analyzing defects to ascertain sources andnature of defects. Communicate with Quality Assurance (QA), Development, and ADPbusiness partner staff to ensure that testing/quality issues are documented,tested, and applied to established software product development timelines anddeadlines. Develop and execute software test plans, write and maintain testautomation scripts that match test plans, create data sheets to be used with testscripts, and perform manual, negative, and regression tests by executing batchesof automated scripts. Develop, maintain and execute performance test scripts based on the testplans Provide adjustments to test completion of Software Development LifeCycle estimates and track progression of software products through QA testingprocesses. Develop and implement software QA testing procedures and work with QAteam members to ensure compliance with client specifications. Establish and adhere to software Quality Assurance (QA) standards andstay current with industry processes, trends, and techniques. Develop tools and frameworks to run automated system level tests tocollect and analyze data and verify key features of one or more products as theygo through the hardware and software development life cycles. Share and reuse testing assets for a range of end-user computinginterests including: hardware imaging, operating system and applicationpatching, robotic desktop automation, mobile, web and cloud applications andvirtual desktop infrastructure. Common practices include validation testing,performance testing, black box testing, usability testing and A/B testing. Automate critical patch management processes. Escalate issues toappropriate engineering teams.
