QC Chemist

Title: QC ChemistLocation: Fairfield/West Caldwell, NJSchedule: Monday – Friday (8am-430pm)Duration: Contract Target Start Date: ASAP Responsibilities:

Performs routine analysis on raw material/ API samples on time and accurately

Performs basic troubleshooting of instruments

Documents results in accordance with cGMP and as per SOP’s

Informs supervisor of any deviations in results/procedure from established specifications or procedures

Adherence to policies/procedures (SOP’s, cGMP’s, safety protocols)

Ability to identify areas of improvement and provide action plans/viable options/alternatives to laboratory management

Provides input for lab investigations, CAPAs, and Change Controls

Any other functions as required by Quality Control Unit

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Scientific Field

Minimum of 2 years in a Laboratory or research environment required

Above average knowledge of chemistry and/or biochemistry, and raw materials

Above average reading, writing, mathematic, and verbal skills

Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point

Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, Tyvek suit and other safety equipment as needed

Basic use of tools and equipment

Knowledge of cGMP and USP regulations, and ICH guidelines

Experience with Computerized Data Acquisition systems

Ability to Gown for Manufacturing

Ability to lift or move modest weight, 1-24 pounds
