Description A leading non-profit organization in East Brunswick seek a Revenue Accounting Director with 8 plus years of experience in dealing with multiple revenue streams and handling the cash management and analysis functions. A strong supervisory background along with an expertise in revenue recognition accounting and issues. The Revenue Accounting Director should be knowledgeable in financial risk management. Responsibilities include:
Ensures all revenue systems and processes comply with internal controls, GAAP, and non-GAAP standards. Establish and maintain insightful sales reports/dashboards for variances, strategic analyses for review by Chief Financial Officer.
Oversees month-end close process for all entities, month end close reconciliations, year-end financial statements (including consolidated) and footnotes.
Compiles periodic and ad-hoc reports and analyses involving financial data.
Proven ability to work independently, in a team, and cross-functionally, with extensive experience in resolving complex accounting and finance issues.
Documents company positions on revenue recognition interpretations and applications.
Coordinates with cross functional teams to review and perform technical analysis on existing and new contracts to determine the appropriate revenue.
Takes ownership of assigned work, coordinates and leads other groups, and exercises professional judgment in completing projects. Ability to work collaboratively across departments
