The Vice President of Risk Management role is to provide support for developing and supporting the implementation of the risk management framework. The Vice President of Risk Management supports the planning and implementation of Tradewebs risk assessments and underlying risk program elements (e.g., control testing, issue management, scenario analysis, risk reporting). You will drive scalable risk strategy, risk and control assessments, evolution of taxonomies, frameworks, and risk governance structures. Additional responsibilities will include participating in information security control assessments, assisting in risk and incident reporting, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning and Risk Management related activities. It is a 2nd line of defense role that requires a close working partnership with Regulatory Compliance, Business risk owners and technical management. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. We look to hire people who are comfortable in working with minimal supervision as part of a small team that has consistently delivered ground-breaking and innovative solutions in one of the most exciting and fast-moving areas of the of the financial markets. We need people who are able to prioritize and can effectively communicate complex issues to non-technical team members. The ideal candidate is someone who has business experience in the Financial Industry, an interest in Information Security and Operational Resiliency domains that they wish to develop and who can meet with our internal and external clients and talk confidently about our Risk Management practices.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the execution and oversight of risk assessments, risk identification, risk data aggregation, risk mitigation, and risk reporting
  • Develop, sustain, and evolve product risk assessments through close collaboration with cross-functional partners to develop new and enhanced processes, and provide feedback on controls to mitigate identified and future risks
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution, scaling, and standardization of Risk Management programs and best practices, including evolution and updating of frameworks
  • Support risk management planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies using a risk-based assessment methodology.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for operational resiliency areas based on industry-standard best practices.
  • Build relationships with Risk, Legal and Compliance partners, subject matter experts, internal control partners and/or first line risk management professionals to support new initiatives and risk identification
  • Employ effective stakeholder skills, a proactive approach in communicating issues, and strength in sustaining independent views
  • Collaborate seamlessly across Risk Management in areas such as control design and implementation, validation and monitoring, issue management and remediation, and reporting, systems, and analytics
  • Assist fist line business operating committee with risk and incident reporting
  • Assist with deep dive risk analysis and preparing formal risk assessment reports
  • Support the development and facilitation of Risk Management trainings across the organization
  • Assisting with audits (SOC1, SOC2, SOX404 etc.) at all levels, up to and including completion of audits and assisting with closeout of audit findings
  • Ensure alignment with risk frameworks/methodologies and utilize the existing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system to its fullest capabilities.

Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Ability to develop an understanding of business processes and technology used within Tradeweb
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in risk and audit management and/or internal controls
  • Have, or are willing to obtain, CISSP, CISA or CISM qualifications (training will be provided if required)
  • Experience in performing risk assessments throughout the lifecycle of risk management, including developing reporting and presenting to management
  • Ability to understand Policy and procedural documentation as required
  • Manage competing deadlines and prioritize responsibilities to effectively meet business needs
  • Work both independently and as part of a team at all levels and across all business units
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls, and how they interact together
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and knowledge of information security risks and countermeasures
