RN Clinical Documentation Improvement Coord Home Care Full Time Day

Position Summary:

The Clinical Documentation Improvement Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of clinical records to improve the quality of the documentation and completeness of the record according to acceptable standards of practice. The Clinical Documentation Improvement Coordinator has extensive knowledge of the regulatory guidelines governing home health agencies and is able to interpret these regulations to Clinical Managers and Clinicians in the context of current documentation practices.

Qualifications & Education

Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and licensed in New Jersey. BSN is required. OASIS certification required. Coding certification preferable; willing to obtain within one (1) year if not held upon hire.Must understand the issues related to the delivery of home health services and be able to problem solve and use critical thinking effectively. Supervisory experience preferred.Must possess clear evidence of integrity and the highest standards of ethical conduct. Must demonstrate an ability and willingness to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, motivate and win the respect and loyalty of staff, build an excellent team, and accomplish results through others. Must demonstrate strong organization, critical thinking, and analytical skills (verbal, written, presentation) to present information or ideas clearly and communicate effectively and pleasantly with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Must demonstrate ability to change from one task to another, frequently without loss of composure or efficiency. Current and valid driver's license , registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision. Employees must adhare to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 108 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
