Job Description
Position Description The Client & Co. Supply and Analytical Sciences Department in Rahway, NJ are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve in a contracted Scientist role. The successful candidate will provide assistance with the receiving, logging, delivery, prepping, and disposal of samples at the Rahway site. The responsibilities of the Scientist will be to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to ensure accurate tracking and delivery of a variety of samples. Responsibilities: •Tracking a variety of samples from receipt until destruction, ensuring that all samples are logged appropriately. •Preparing Samples for testing and Delivering samples to testing location •Ensuring that samples are disposed of properly •Contributing to establishing and maintaining analytical laboratory operations compliant with the State, Client and departmental safety guidelines, trainings, and other applicable standard operating procedures. •Being responsible for following safe laboratory practices and for maintaining the work area in a clean orderly and safe manner Day to Day: Receiving samples((300-400/week) Logging samples- information on sample(lot name) Moving samples Sample preparation in lab Disposal/destroy sample Quals Minimum Requirement: Associate degree with minimum 3 years of relevant experience. B.A./B.S./M.S in chemistry or equivalent bio-related science with 0-3years of relevant experience. Required Experience and Skills: •Strong organizational and planning skills •Software Skills: MS Office(Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Nice to have/preferred: •Capable of working independently under moderate supervision. •Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment is a must. •Ability to work well in teams - committed to working synergistically and harmoniously with others. •Good verbal & written communication skills and present ideas clearly and concisely. •Comfortable interacting with a variety of on-site and off-site collaborators. •Good understanding of cGMP compliance requirements and ALCOA documentation principle NOTE 100% onsite role at Rahway, NJ.
