Job Description:

Job Summary

As a Senior Applications Developer you will provide input and support for, and perform full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) for business-critical applications. You provide knowledge and support for visibility applications development, integration, and maintenance. You must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and Agile development experience. Experience with Visibility backend systems and knowledge of shipment lifecycle is a plus.

Responsibilities:

You will be expected to provide input to user story estimation and task planning and breakdown during sprint planning. You will complete tasks within planned durations and established deadlines and collaborate with other team members and support emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. You must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

Experience with Java Programming
Knowledge of Agile Development, Angular 2, Linux Application Development, Object Oriented Analysis & Design, Microservices architecture, CICD pipeline, OpenShift and Web Development
Familiarity with Couch Base, Investigative/Detective and Technical Analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to multitask
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
Now or in the future UPS employment sponsorship, such as H1B, TN, J-1, F-1, etc., is not needed in order to start or continue temporary or permanent employment with UPS.
