SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ Project Description:

  • Develops routine and ad-hoc reports, analyses, and metrics within required timeframes.
  • Analyzes and validates data to provide assurance of accuracy and validity of critical business information.
  • Supports manager and client groups in development of the annual business plan (including responsibility for development of salary plan) and periodic financial projections.
  • Analyzes financial data and effectively challenges budget and projection assumptions to ensure that data collections are accurate and appropriate.
  • Supports the monthly and quarterly financial close process (working with clients to ensure expenses are appropriately recorded), reviews and reports actual results, focusing on comparison of results to budget, prior projection and prior year with investigation and in-depth understanding of key variances; meets regularly with clients to review results.
  • Understands details and provides concise commentary on key drivers of the variances for each client group to Corporate Staff reporting team.
  • Records journal entries and performs account validations and balance sheet account analysis as needed.
  • Supports other various internal and/or alliance partner finance-oriented reporting and operating processes.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years diversified experience in accounting or finance.
  • Experience with development of annual business plan, financial projections and operations expense management required.
  • Operations expense management required.
  • Strong working knowledge of general ledger and budgeting systems required - The SAP suite (including BI, and RPM), preferred, Hyperion required.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls, financial and analytical skills required.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be team oriented and have ability to work collaboratively in a matrix. environment working with multiple levels of management.
  • Successful candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to manage multiple tasks and be able to work with minimal supervision, as well as demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs and requests.
