As a Java Developer, you will be working on the development of our next generation banking and financial software using open source and proprietary frameworks. You will be responsible for building enhancements to our products and resolving defects. You will work with project managers, lead developers, and business analysts.You can look forward to: Developing payments applications using Java code that meets design and architectural requirements and supports automated system testing.Understanding the impact of changes across the application.Discussing aspects of the design with architects, team leads, and business analysts to confirm understanding and raise concerns.Improving and maintaining existing application software, continually providing support for internally-developed applications.Accurately communicating development status on a regular basis to team leads. Assisting the production support team in defect analysis.Basic Qualifications for Consideration:3-5 years real-world professional experience in full stack development involving server-side JavaEE technologies Working knowledge of SQL syntax Strong knowledge of common Java design patterns Bachelor’s degree required Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:Experience working on, designing, and developing mission-critical transaction processing softwareExperience working with payment message formats such as NACHA, SWIFT, and ISO 20022Knowledge of REST APIs Knowledge of microservice design Secure Development Practices Experience in developing JavaEE applications on WebLogic or WebSphere. Open Source Frameworks such as Spring and HibernateWorking knowledge of SQL syntax Background in relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server and experience with applications that utilize relational databases. Industry knowledge about payment systems and working on systems integrated with TCH, The Fed, or others.Experience working in the Banking sector, specifically in Payments
