Senior Reliability Engineer/Architect

Hybrid - Jersey City, Whitehouse Station NJ, or Philadelphia PA

Compensation Range : $95-$100/hour

What You'll Do:
  • Develop, Engineer, and Architect enterprise systems solutions
  • Take active part in the production problem root cause investigation, identification, and resolution (where necessary);
  • Maintain, improve and troubleshoot our core systems used by several teams, some of those are Azure, .NET, Kafka, Microservices, and SQL.
  • Preventive monitoring
  • Iteratively improve monitoring & alerting
  • Improving the resilience and reliability of the systems to reduce or eliminate manual intervention on DR and resilency
  • Team player on an Agile team, working together to keep delivering at pace, scale and with demanded quality to support our products
Skills / Experience You Will Need:
  • Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience engineering and architecting solutions within .NET, Java, Kafka, SQL, and Microservices
  • Experience with Azure Cloud in an enterprise environment
  • Experience designing systems to make them scalable and reliable - log analytics in various tools
  • Experience with Kafka, Mainframe (some knowledge), and Drools Engine
  • Willingness to help with incident management, production support, and optimization of application uptime
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working within insurance industry is a major plus
