As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.You will join a cross functional team that ensures equipment operates and is maintained to the highest standards to meet our objectives for quality and reliability.  In this critical role, you will be able to use your technical background and experience to deliver key outcomes, whilst ensuring your safety and that of your colleagues is a priority.This opportunity is a 12 month fixed-term position, with possibilities for future ongoing work in the department, or other areas of the Port Kembla Steelworks upon completion for the right applicant.What will you do?With your proven understanding of industrial electrical systems, in this role you will:follow the safe system of work and develop isolation instructions and job safety analysis for the required workfault-find on electrical equipment including PLC’s, drives and instrumentation systemsperform safe, efficient and effective emergency repairsperform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities and report on findingsMore about youYou are driven by self-development, committed to our success, and have technical experience within an industrial, manufacturing environment.  You will have: have a strong commitment to safetyelectrical trade qualificationscurrent NSW Electrical Licenseexperience working with automated equipment, drives, instrumentation, gauges & PLC’sexperience in fault finding and problem solvingWhy BlueScopeAs we’re creating strength for the future through our people, products and solutions, BlueScope supports you to build your expertise within a safe and positive team environment.
