Shop Carpenter

Job Title: CarpenterLocation: Secaucus, NJ 07094Pay Range: $25-$33/hourlyWhat’s the Job?

Read drawings and sketches to understand project requirements; follow instructions

Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.

Cut, shape, smooth lumber and other material according to measurements

Basic to Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of fabrication required

Ability to read technical documents and drawings. Must be able to read basic build documents that indicate height, length and width of products being fabricated

What’s Needed?

Minimum 1-5 years hands-on carpentry experience

Proficient with basic hand held (electrical/manual) and measurement tools in the carpentry trade

Responsible for safe handling of Table Saw

Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times

Self-accountability & Work Standards: Set high standards of performance for yourself and assume responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks.

Work Environment:

You will be assigned a numbered bench on the main floor

This is a physically demanding job, be prepared to spend a regular work day mostly on your feet

Bending and lifting required

Regularly exposed to dust and noise

Mostly will work in Shop and Warehouse areas
