BlackRock is looking for a full time Software Asset Management Analyst for our team based in Princeton, New Jersey. Reporting into our Software Assets Management Global lead, you will be responsible for supporting Software Assets Management functional responsibilities. Our team strives to provide outstanding levels of service to our clients, ensuring they have the right applications they need. Strong communication skills are essential for this role. The individual will need to also work with vendors and service providers for the different quotes and application onboarding and renewals and need to follow policies and standards while collaborating with them.

Team Overview

The Software Assets Management team is involved in the management and control of software onboarding, compliance, license purchase, renewals, life cycle planning and the cost optimization of software assets. We also help with the provisioning of software to end users and largely focus on Software end of life and Vulnerability management

This team member will be managing the Software Asset Management program and ensuring the highest level of software compliance. This position will assist in shaping software licensing practices and administering the Software Asset Management system. You will be responsible for projects of various size and complexity, as well as, evaluating software products. M&As, etc.

Role Responsibility
  • Generate asset management reports to communicate and monitor compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage the maintenance of corporate product lists, records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements.
  • Develop written plans, policies, and procedures to detail processes to support asset management lifecycle.
  • Validates requirements to create and modify IT software asset records and associated contract records.
  • Purchase\renew\revoke licenses as per requirements
  • Good understanding and command of Outlook/MS office applications - email correspondence.
  • Experience with work-flow management tools like Service Now\Jira, etc.
  • Work with vendor and Acquire quotes and place orders for software products.
  • Work with business and partners on Software renewal and Purchase.
  • Produce and update written technical, policy and support documentation.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Information Security, and Legal staff in the selection process of new assets.
  • Ensure compliance with distribution of software applications and patches to the desktop environment.
  • Create or modify IT software asset records and associated contract records in appropriate software repository.

Experience
  • BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/ Information technology/ Electronics & Communication. Or any Graduate with relevant experience.
  • Certified Software Asset Manager or Certified IT Asset Manager preferred
  • 2-3 Years of Knowledge and experience with software asset management.
  • Software Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience (ServiceNow / BDNA)
  • Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions.
  • Conceptional knowledge of Information Technology
  • Good communication (both verbal and written) skills
  • Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage time effectively, set priorities appropriately, schedule calls
  • Able to maintain professional conduct under stress.
  • Able to operate within customer standard operating procedures
  • Work experience in Global environment, ideally with 2-3 years of full-time work experience in Information Technology
