Software Development EngineerJob Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Software Development Engineer for a contract to hire position in Berkeley Heights, NJ.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• As a Sr. Java/kafka developer you will be involved in design, developing, testing and deploying microservices in cloud native technologies. You will join a team of JAVA developers building kafka subscribers and publisher applications using spring boot framework. You will also be developing CI/CD pipelines, testing automation framework, automating build & deployment processes.
• You will be collaborating with internal teams, product partners to build and deliver world class software. You will be involved in each phase of SDLC and working in a agile team following scrum process.
• As a Sr. Java/kafka Developer, you will be responsible for completing security scans, supporting PCI/PII data masking, data encryption processes before deploying software into production environment. You will be collaborating within an Agile team environment to define, design, develop and ship new features.
• You will be responsible of ensuring code is well structured, maintainable, and of high quality; Working with support to help resolve escalated issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 10+ years of practical experience developing enterprise applications using Java/J2EE full stack technologies.
• 10+ years of experience in Source Code Management (GITHUB, Maven and Azure GIT Repos), Microservice development (Spring Boot), and CI/CD DevOps (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working in Cloud Native technologies such as Kubernetes, Dockers, OpenShift or Pivotal Cloud Foundary (PCF).
• 3+ Experience in design and implement Kafka-based applications and solutions; also experience in implementing applications using Kafka APIs
• 3+ Development experience in Kafka producers, consumers, and streams
• 5+ years of experience in RDBMS (Oracle/Sql Server), JDBC.
• Strong understanding and experience with security implementations (e.g. SSL/mutual SSL, Kerberos).
• Experience with one or more tools in automated unit testing such as Junit, Cucumber.
• Experience with one or more tools in SAST and DAST technologies such as Fortify, Sonatype, WebInspect and SonarQube

• Experience with Confluent Kafka.
• Redis Cache implementation
• Experience in Azure Key Vault
• Build and deploy using Azure DevOps
