As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a larger ProductDevelopment team consisting of Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Quality AssuranceSpecialists all working together to drive innovation across the platform. The ideal candidate will behighly motivated, have great communication skills, be able to work within a group and independentlyand have deep experience across the Microsoft technology stack.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop in a multi-tiered, multi-threaded .NET environmentDecompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks while balancing quality, quantityand complexity in work outputProactively resolve issues in specifications that will lead to a quality, high-performance,architecturally sound productDevelop new and modify existing SQL Server objects.Build and perform thorough unit testing on all relevant platforms as is appropriate for theparticular task/projectRegularly inform manager on progress of projects, identifying risks early in the processCollaborate with Business Analysts and Product Designers to ensure understanding of businessrequirementsWork with the rest of the Engineering Team to consistently deliver new functionalityDemonstrate self-directed and proactive approaches to tackling problems and leveragingresourcesEvolve architecture to continue to follow emerging best practicesChampion user experience and coding best practices across the business and help build ourdevelopment cultureAsk smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.Qualification RequirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly present your ideas andrationale in conversations with others, and through code3+ years' experience in .NET technologies (C#)3+ years' experience in SQL development (SQL Server)3+ years' experience in report writing (SSRS, RDLC, Crystal Reports)3+ years' experience in object oriented and n-tier architectureProven ability to manage individual daily responsibilitiesAbility to grasp new concepts quicklyDesire to increase technical knowledgeWhat will set you apart from the pack?Experience using SQL Tools such as SQL Profiler and Database Tuning AdvisorExperience with Azure Dev OpsExperience with Application InsightsExperience with RedisExperience in ASP.NET WebAPIExperience with Automation (Build/Release)Experience within the Financial IndustryAt SS&C Advent TNR, you'll find a rewarding career where you can thrive at every level.
