Job Description

SS&C Advent TNR is seeking an experienced, motivated Software Engineer with strong experience in

hands-on development and delivery of distributed, multi-threaded, enterprise-level systems.

About the Team

TNR Solution is a centralized system for firm-wide data management and is designed around core

modules for Fund/Portfolio Accounting, General Ledger, Contact Management, Fund Raising, Deal

Pipeline, Reporting and Investor Web Portal. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a larger Product

Development team consisting of Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Quality Assurance

Specialists all working together to drive innovation across the platform. The ideal candidate will be

highly motivated, have great communication skills, be able to work within a group and independently

and have deep experience across the Microsoft technology stack.

Job Responsibilities

Develop in a multi-tiered, multi-threaded .NET environment

Decompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks while balancing quality, quantity

and complexity in work output

Proactively resolve issues in specifications that will lead to a quality, high-performance,

architecturally sound product

Develop new and modify existing SQL Server objects.

Build and perform thorough unit testing on all relevant platforms as is appropriate for the

particular task/project

Regularly inform manager on progress of projects, identifying risks early in the process

Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Designers to ensure understanding of business

requirements

Work with the rest of the Engineering Team to consistently deliver new functionality

Demonstrate self-directed and proactive approaches to tackling problems and leveraging

resources

Evolve architecture to continue to follow emerging best practices

Champion user experience and coding best practices across the business and help build our

development culture

Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

Qualification Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly present your ideas and

rationale in conversations with others, and through code

3+ years' experience in .NET technologies (C#)

3+ years' experience in SQL development (SQL Server)

3+ years' experience in report writing (SSRS, RDLC, Crystal Reports)

3+ years' experience in object oriented and n-tier architecture

Proven ability to manage individual daily responsibilities

Ability to grasp new concepts quickly

Desire to increase technical knowledge

Experience using SQL Tools such as SQL Profiler and Database Tuning Advisor

Experience with Azure Dev Ops

Experience with Application Insights

Experience with Redis

Experience in ASP.NET WebAPI

Experience with Automation (Build/Release)
