GWM draws on the expertise of product specialists throughout JP Morgan and coordinates the delivery of JPMorgan services furnished to private clients, so that they complement each other and are presented to (and reported to) the client in an integrated fashion.We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer for our team in the US to drive the technical strategy for our Relational Database environment. Relational database processing remains a critical component of our overall technical footprint and we need to ensure the environment continues to stay up to date with advancing technical control standards and Software versions. This individual will be expected to maintain and debug the existing system and modify the system to be compliant with JPMC standards and infrastructure strategy. They will be expected to provide level 2 support for the system and address production issues.They will also be expected to understand our Public Cloud strategy and help transition some data processing functions from an on-premises Relational DB environment to Public Cloud.The successful candidate must be able to balance all these competing priorities, allocate resources, accordingly, agree to timeframes with stake-holders and execute to deliver to those timeframes.Job Responsibilities:

ETL developer with experience in Informatica, Pentaho, Other ETL tools

Experience with XML coding

Proficient in SQL; experienced with Stored Procedures (Sybase preferred)

Strong experience in Autosys or any other Job Scheduling tool.

Experience with Unix and Unix Shell scripting

Working experience with BitBucket or GitHub

Experience in working with Agile development methodology.

Resolve technical issues through debugging, research and investigation. Work closely with the architecture groups and drive solutions.

Experience with Data masking

Experience working with offshore teams (giving directions, doing code reviews, etc)

Establish strong working relationships with team members and all stake holders, including GTI support and business sponsors.

Private Banking technology experience a plus

Qualifications:

ETL Informatica developer with data Warehouse/Datamart experience in the financial industry.

10+ years of relevant experience working in ETL tools like Informatica or Pentaho

Working knowledge of Java

Strong Analytics and Problem-solving skills.

Must be self-directed/self-motivated. Must be able manage individual workload and deliver to agreed upon project milestones.

Must have excellent communication skills and be able to present a coherent picture to people with technical and finance backgrounds.

Some experience in Big Data components (HDFS, Kafka) & AWS

Effective communication skills; written and oral.

Bachelor's Degree in a related subject (Computer Science or Engineering).
