Responsible for applying interdisciplinary engineering skills in the technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for complex solutions or products.

  • Understand Cybersecurity: Work with a team of passionate, intelligent, and innovative engineers to understand and identify current and future Cybersecurity needs and challenges.
  • Cyber Innovation: Use experience, knowledge and JIT in-depth research of network technologies and cyber tools and techniques to develop innovative solutions to address customer needs.
  • Design Cyber Solutions: Interact directly with customers to establish detailed requirements for cyber solutions that will ultimately bolster our nation's Cybersecurity posture.

More About this Role:

  • Become a subject matter expert in various network technologies and products (e.g. IP/MPLS, 4G LTE, 5G SA, O-RAN, Mobile Edge Computing, Virtualization and Container Technologies, Optical Transport, etc.).
  • Research solutions to challenging cyber security and computer networking problems.
  • Identify and evaluate security strengths and weaknesses of networks and systems.
  • Develop relationships with customers and cooperatively identify new approaches to address customer needs.
  • Identify, propose and execute new research ideas.
  • Create software requirements documents and lead internal and customer reviews. Manage requirements lifecycle.
  • Review software design documents and system test plans to a assess comprehensive requirements understanding and coverage.
  • Coordinate reverse engineering tasks on Windows, Linux, mobile device, and other embedded platforms.
  • Support test execution and analysis as needed to ensure requirements are satisfied.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN/RETAIN A GOVERNMENT CLEARANCE at the level to perform the duties of the position.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Expertise in specifying end to end solutions, customer level requirements, and derived requirements to drive software development.
  • Strong computer science background with full understanding of the software development lifecycle from requirements to customer delivery.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and current and emerging network technologies.
  • Expertise in networking concepts in routed, mobile, and/or optical networks.
  • Experience with software development for embedded systems.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline along with a minimum of 7 years of experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is strongly desired.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems at all layers (boot, kernel space, user space).
  • Strong software development skills and demonstrated experience in current languages such as C, C.
  • Demonstrated competency with multiple assembly languages, including MIPS, x86, PowerPC, ARM.
  • Ethical hacking skills and experience with reverse engineering tools.
  • Experience with cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. However, as a requirement of continued employment in this position you will be required to obtain a Top Secr clearance.
