Job Title: Specimen ProcessorJob DescriptionAs a Specimen Processor, you will be responsible for receiving, identifying, labeling, and processing specimens as required. You will input data into the computer system, create labeling for samples, and handle various specimen types including sealed samples, blood, stool, urine, and biopsies. You will wear proper personal protective equipment and adhere to safety guidelines. Your role involves multi-tasking between different types of requisitions, maintaining departmental production goals, and ensuring consistent specimen flow to the labs. You will also be tasked with reviewing, transcribing, and entering demographic and specimen data into the laboratory information system with precision, and assisting with filing and clean-up duties to support laboratory efficiency.Hard Skills

High school diploma/GED

Typing speed of at least 7500 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy or higher

Previous laboratory experience

Experience working overnight shifts

Medical scribe experience (preferred)

Soft Skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks

Attention to detail

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work in a team environment
