The Global Database Engineering & Operation Group within the Tradeweb Technology division is responsible for the entire database estate, with provision of extremely high levels of availability for the production, test & development systems to the dealers, customers and internal Tradeweb users.
Job Responsibilities- Monitoring database availability, identifying potential problems, proposing ways to optimize availability & scalability.
- Working with the Infrastructure and Line of Business Technology teams to architect and implement new technologies and strategies
- Managing data backup and restores required for disaster recovery.
- Installation of new servers, and upgrade of existing servers with regard to patches and new versions.
- The provision of extremely high levels of availability for the Production, and UAT systems.
- Resolution of any problems in these systems in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensuring compliance with company security procedures.
- Automation of regular / recurring tasks
- College degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of technical knowledge required.
- 5+ years of current administration experience in MS SQL Server (2016/2017/2019)
- Ability to demonstrate experience of supporting a complex, large-scale / high transactional volume system to very high levels of availability
- T-SQL: Good experience of writing ad-hoc queries and debugging stored procedures, functions and triggers
- Experience of supporting Development / QA / TechOps teams to assist with data maintenance and query building
- Experience using SQL Server Availability Groups
- Experience of creating and maintaining SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for data extraction, transformation & loading
- In this role you will be required to be flexible regarding work schedule, including evening and occasional weekend duties
- Experience with MS SQL Server on SANs and clustering
- Experience of the Quest suite of monitoring tools
- Experience of Oracle and/or MongoDb/Cassandra

- The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $100,000 to $160,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
