Job Overview

The Forklift Operator/PIT (Power Industrial Truck) operator drives Sit-Down and Dock Stocker (Counterbalance lift) forklifts. The primary function for this position is to load, offload or move freight in the building.

The position supports inbound, inventory, shipping domestic and international.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

· Unloads pallets off inbound trailers.

· Loads outbound orders on to the designated trailers

· Shrink wrap goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport.

· Pallet builds and moves pallet picks for orders from inventory

· Checks the trucking manifests and ensures the merchandise is accounted for

· Check the various Bills of Lading to ensure all the pallets/ Merchandise for an order is accounted for and loaded

· Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods

· Understand and follow safety requirements

· Ability to inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and adherence to safety standards

· Handle Quality assurance (QA) duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.

Minimum Requirements

· Highschool Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· A minimum of 6 months warehouse experience specifically in Forklift Operation

· Prior experience as a forklift operator.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Effective interpersonal and communication skills

· Required to work with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Adhere to safety policies and procedures

· Completion of forklift driving course, a plus.

· Previous OSHA training for Forklift Operation a plus.

· Previous use of Radio Frequency equipment a plus
