Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Understand customer's IT estate, LOB applications, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and cloud native solutions.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application architects and SMEs to develop enterprise grade solutions.
  • Leading the development of AWS architecture patterns, blueprints and standards
  • Solutions architecture design for AWS platform services & monitoring framework using architectural design principles based on customer requirements
  • Reviewing implementation of platform services to ensure alignment against design AWS well architected framework
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems.
  • Draft technical solution for migration, multi account multi region deployments, modern architecture, AWS Landing zone, control tower.
  • Keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights and maintain technical skills and knowledge.
  • Draft hybrid connectivity and networking landscape for the clients on boarding to AWS.
  • Work with clients to transform manual processes and deployments into DevOps automated pipelines using AWS native services.
  • Advocate new features and solutions to bring operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Drive architectural decisions from Infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation lens.
  • Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers.
  • Define long term cloud strategy and enhancement roadmap.
  • Develop test plan and test cases to demonstrate application/database readiness post migration or greenfield deployment.
  • Work closely with application teams to ensure business functionality and SLAs are met.
  • Consult for optimal design of environments, analysing complex distributed production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on AWS and assist Sales/Pre-Sales in RFP activities.

Mandatory Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, MCA or a related field.
  • Subject matter level expertise on

    AWS Network & Security, AWS Compute (EC2) & Storage, Backup & DR, Monitoring, AWS Governance & Cost Management, Migration, DevOps.
  • Rich experience in Migration projects and good knowledge of migration tools (native and third party) like CloudEndure, MGN.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g., Terraform, CloudFormation,

    Ansible,

    Jenkins etc.,)
  • Configuration management using Ansible and/or Chef/Puppet, Shell, PowerShell.
  • Implementing experience with primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, ECS, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53 & S3)
  • Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale.
  • Develop test plan and test cases to demonstrate application/database readiness post migration.
  • Work closely with application teams to ensure business functionality and SLAs are met.
  • Demonstrable experience working with Kubernetes and Docker administration (EKS and ECS).
  • Good architectural knowledge to design, build

    AWS Cloud Native solutions and integrating 3rd party tools required for customer delivery/ Cloud estate.
  • Experience in PaaS services like RDS, Lambda, API gateway, Redshift, Glue etc.
  • Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior IT executives and growing data services in large or highly strategic accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively.
  • Resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, IT management and developers)

Desired Skills:
  • Min. 6 years demonstrable experience working with AWS in an

    architecture capacity
  • Min. 4 years experience working as a Lead DevOps engineer or an AWS Solutions Architect
  • Expertise in containerization – Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in IaC tools –

    Terraform and Ansible etc.,
  • Experience of developing Solutions architecture designs in tools such as MS Visio, Draw.io etc.
  • Experience of building and implementing enterprise-wide architecture principles, framework, standards, blueprints and patterns
  • Proficiency in any development language like Python, Golang or Ruby
  • Demonstrable experience of facilitating solution design workshops
  • Deep understanding of DevOps concepts (Agile, CI/CD and Automation)
  • CloudFormation deep expertise (cfn hup, cfn init, custom resources, stack sets etc.)
  • Strong hands-on experience on CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Team city etc.
  • Experience in working with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline
  • Data analysis pipelines knowledge (Glue, EMR, Redshift, DMS, Kinesis) etc.

Certifications:
  • Must have - AWS Certified Solution Architect-Professional Level
  • Must have - AWS Specialty Certification - Networking or Security (Either 1 will do)
  • Good to have - AWS Certified DevOps Professional
  • Good to have - AWS Certified developer/Architect/Sysops associate
  • Good to have - Certified Kubernetes Administrator
  • Nice to have - Enterprise architecture qualifications (e.g. TOGAF, ZachMann)
  • Nice to have - HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
