Sr. Tax Accountant

Description We are seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant to join our team in the Financial Services industry based in Morristown, New Jersey. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity, where you will be expected to handle various responsibilities involving individual tax preparation, tax review, tax information, problem-solving, and the utilization of technology-based solutions. Responsibilities: Independently prioritize, organize and execute projects with a strong attention to detail Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills in daily tasks Understand and formulate interpretations of tax information and determine how to apply them Utilize technology-based solutions effectively in the deployment of assigned responsibilities Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines Adapt to a dynamic, team-based environment and manage changing and multiple priorities Maintain a professional demeanor towards clients and team members Demonstrate strong proficiency in tax return preparation software and products Be computer literate with working knowledge of current Windows-based software applications including MS Office (Excel, Word) and Internet Applications.Requirements Comprehensive understanding of Tax - Individual and Tax - Trust & Estate. Ability to adhere to strict financial deadlines. Strong analytical skills for tax planning and compliance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred. Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly. Excellent problem-solving skills.
