Exciting work you will do:
  • Lead and collaborate with internal and external personnel, including vendor teams, solution architects, data engineers, testers, Infrastructure architects, developers and deliver the solutions that fulfill the Business information needs and align with the information vision and strategy
  • Lead Strategic plans for testing efforts and strategic direction of our Continuous Testing & Assurance Practice to support business enterprise applications and integration needs according to project requirements.
  • Work independently with developers, system/network administrators, product owners, and other colleagues to ensure all testing needs are identified and appropriate testing plans and processes are in place for execution.
  • Define/build reusable testing assets for large/complex projects and develop and implement test automation frameworks
  • Creating project schedules for testing, including estimates and justification for those estimates (Basis of Estimates)
  • Apply Healthcare knowledge to business strategy while driving technology strategy, balancing short term and long term needs to ensure that the testing strategy and testing architecture can scale and evolve accordingly
  • Provide technical leadership and support the creation of complex tests
  • Lead and coach a highly efficient integration and test team and grow its capability to achieve the best blend of automation and specialist skills
  • Define and administer standard testing architecture methodologies, processes, and tools to be used.
  • Improve quality practices across functional and non-functional testing
  • Maintains and enhances existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development
  • Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions
  • Supports the development of coding and testing standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines
  • Facilitate cross functional meetings and execution of the EA roadmap and vision for Testing solutions
  • Define and implement Test Strategies and Plans for testing within a Virtualized environment and employing service virtualization techniques.
  • Researches and implements innovative technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance Planning, coordination, and control of the various test activities
  • Technical management of teams of testers with various levels of skills located across multiple locations
  • Oversee critical steps within the Software Development Life Cycle components that impact enterprise-wide development / architecture standards

What you will need:
  • Ideally 10+ years plus experience as a Test Architect delivering testing strategies, process and executing in a complex virtualized, cloud computing and multi-vendor environment.
  • Significant hands-on testing experience (5 - 10 years) within large scale/systems, preferably Medicaid or similar systems/portfolio with heavy integrations.
  • Proven experience in setting up and delivering automation test frameworks, API testing frameworks
  • Proven experience in Integration testing, Web services testing, performance Testing, load testing, DR testing, Security testing, Service Virtualization techniques for testing, system, and application testing.
  • Proven experience in creating a strategy for test data management including data obfuscation
  • Experience of identifying the appropriate techniques, tools, and guidelines to implement the required tests and to give guidance on the corresponding resources requirements for the test effort
  • Experience of leading multiple release cycles
  • Must understand technologies such as web servers, application servers, databases
  • Must have strong understanding of scripting/programming/computer architecture
  • Proven track record of successful managing complex test programs on schedule, to budget and quality standards
  • Experience of the full software project lifecycle including SAFe, Agile and DevOps and a technical appreciation of IT systems and solutions
  • Proven experience in managing test tools and environments to support test programs
  • Has delivered test maturity assessments, providing and successfully implementing an improvements plan
  • Success in technical project management leadership, including test management
  • Experience of transitioning from legacy systems to new capabilities, with new capabilities hosted on hybrid environments and hosted by multiple vendors.
  • Experience with the implementation of Continuous Integration practices and tooling to support automated build, delivery, and regression test of commercial software
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred skills:
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks like TOGAF
  • Relevant professional qualifications (such as International Software Testing Qualifications Board - BCS ISTQB® - or the equivalent gained through practical experience)
  • Experience in a management or supervisory role on an integration development team
  • An interest in staying hands-on technical as well as wearing that team management hat
  • Established project management skills
  • Knowledge of professional engineering practices and best practices for the full development life cycle
  • Experience of using tools to support planning and tracking of timeboxed or agile approaches
  • Knowledge of JSON and XML
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture.
  • JIRA, HPQC (ALM) experience or equivalent tools.
