Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our growing CPG company Jersey City, New Jersey. This role is pivotal in the finance department, where you'll carry out a range of accounting task. Excellent opportunity to work for a CPG based company with high exposure to c level management. Responsibilities: Balance Sheet Analysis. Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date. Prepare and post monthly journal entries. Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial data is accurate. Preparation of accruals Preparing financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis Inventory reconciliation Payroll journal entries Maintain fixed assetsRequirements Bachelors in Accounting 3 + years of accounting experience Public Accounting foundation is a plus CPA or MBA is a plus Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries, ensuring accurate reflection of company's financial transactions. Proficiency in conducting Month End Close procedures, including account analysis and report generation. Experience with NetSuite, demonstrating the ability to navigate and utilize the system for various accounting tasks.
