Description We are seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. The role is based in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry. The position offers a long term contract employment opportunity and is based on-site for three days a week. Responsibilities: Lead the team in the preparation and filing of all external financial reports. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with IFRS, SEC, and SOX regulations. Manage and document technical accounting research for complex transactions such as equity compensation, lease accounting, and revenue recognition. Work collaboratively with internal teams, including legal, HR, and operations, to collect and analyze financial data. Liaise with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. Provide training and guidance to the finance team on accounting policies and procedures. Stay updated on emerging accounting standards and SEC regulations, assessing their impact on the company. Assist the Director of External Reporting and Technical Accounting in special projects and initiatives. Utilize skills in SAP S/4HANA, Workiva, and OneStream to perform job functions efficiently. Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA are preferred. Proven experience in a similar role within the Health Pharm/Biotech industry is essential. Deep understanding of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations. Proficiency in technical accounting areas such as consolidations, financial reporting, stock compensation, and revenue recognition. Demonstrated experience with financial software applications is necessary. Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, Workiva, and OneStream is particularly desirable. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for interpreting complex financial data. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required for reporting financial information to non-financial audiences. Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity to ensure all financial data is accurate and compliant with regulations. Must be adaptable to change and comfortable with working in fast-paced environments. Eligibility to work in the specified location.
