- Develop and edit specifications, test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
- Assist, author, and independently re-draft and modify documents to improve the consistency, clarity, grammar, punctuation, and succinctness.
- Coordinate and support responses for large/complex technical documents to support program activity.
- Work with project management tools such as SharePoint used for records organization and data sharing.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM, or related field. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in English or communicates who have experience in a technical field will also be considered.
- 4+ years of experience in similar role.
- Understanding of technical information and ability to simplify and communicate with nontechnical people.
- Experience in the aerospace/military industry preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate, plan, organize work in one or more projects concurrently.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
- Understands technical information, ability to read technical documents from customers and understand them.
- Ability to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians.
- This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
